Project Description

In her untitled poker instructional book for women (Harcourt, Spring 2006), WPT champion Clonie Gowen outlines the tools a woman needs to win in a game dominated by men. She will start with the basics of how to play poker and the different types of games and venues available. She’ll then get into the finer points of poker strategy—such as reading the body language of players and calculating pot odds—and also teach women how to start and host the perfect home game for their friends. Specifically geared toward women, Gowen demonstrates how to turn the seemingly disadvantage of being the only female player at a table into an advantage and a blueprint for victory.
