"No Kill Date"

Venture Literary Sells Celebrity Advice Book to Plume

On August 4, 2004, Frank R. Scatoni sold the North American rights to 50 Things Every Guy Should Know How To Do, by Daniel Kline and Jason Tomaszewski, to Jake Klisivitch of Plume. Foreign rights are being handled by Jenny Meyer, jenny@meyerlit.com.

Why learn how to buy a diamond ring from some boring jeweler when you can have Sean "P. Diddy" Combs give you the 411 on what to look for when selecting a little bling bling for your lady? In 50 Things Every Guy Should Know How To Do, authors Daniel Kline and Jason Tomaszewski combine America’s two passions—celebrities and self-help advice—to give average guys the low-down from people who really know.

From porn princess Kobe Tai sharing some bedroom tips to Fear Factor and Man Show host Joe Rogan discussing the art of the joke to Ultimate Fighter and former WWF star Ken Shamrock showing how to win a bar fight, 50 Things is packed with useful, entertaining, practical (and sometimes impractical) information. You may never have to walk a tightrope, but if you ever want to, the dean of Ringling Brothers Clown College will teach you how.

Daniel Kline has contributed to Stuff, Playboy.com, and numerous other men’s periodicals, served as editor-in-chief of The Island Ear, and authored a Frommer’s Unofficial Guides travel book. He was also top editor for Uproar.com, Rouze.com—a men’s lifestyle site that was purchased by Playboy—and Backslap.com. Jason Tomaszewski was the football analyst for Colonial SportsCenter, and a commentator and reporter for radio WEOL AM 93, the Associated Press radio station of the year.
