Venture Literary Sells Three More Titles in Killer Poker Series to Kensington

On February 14, 2005, Greg Dinkin of Venture Literary, representing John Vorhaus, sold three more books by Vorhaus in his successful Killer Poker series to Richard Ember at Kensington Publishing for their Lyle Stuart imprint.

John Vorhaus has developed a distinct brand and a loyal group of readers. The first three books in the series, Killer Poker, Killer Poker Online, and The Killer Poker Hold’em Handbook have sold more than 60,000 copies to date. The next two books in the series will cover advanced online play and No-Limit Hold’em, and the sixth in the series is yet to be determined.

In addition to writing for Casino Player, Poker Player and ultimatebet.com, Vorhaus is a columnist for All In magazine, Bluff magazine, and was just tapped by FoxSportsNet to be the on-air analyst for their Southern California poker programming. Vorhaus is the only writer ever to have written for Card Player, Poker World, Poker Digest, Casino World, and Poker Europa. He is the author of seven books and has written for the television shows The Wonder Years, Married...with Children, and The Sentinel. His first feature film, Extreme Close-Up, was released in 2002, and his next movie, Hole in the World, is currently in development.
