Venture Literary Sells Nanotechnology Investing Book to Adams Media

On July 21, 2004 Greg Dinkin of Venture Literary sold the World rights to Jack Uldrich’s Big Thinkers Think Small: How Nanotechnology Will Create New Wealth (and Destroy Old Wealth) on Wall Street to Jill Alexander of Adams Media.

In his first book, The Next Big Thing Is Really Small (Crown Business, March 2003), Jack Uldrich explained what nanotech is, why it is important, how it is going to disrupt a number of businesses, and why business executives must begin preparing for it today. In his new book, Big Thinkers Think Small, Uldrich takes the next step and shows investors how to apply that knowledge to cash in on the nanotechnology revolution. Big Thinkers Think Small explores a number of companies that are on the verge of nanotechnology breakthroughs; one company is close to producing a fifty-cent disease detection device that will render today’s $150,000 disease detection equipment obsolete. Another is manufacturing carbon nanotubes that will lead to the development of materials one hundred times stronger than steel.

From the "nanotech arms race" that is being waged between the United States, Japan, and Europe, to the $1.2 billion that venture capitalists have poured into the field, to the huge bets that corporate giants are making in nanotech, readers will understand why they need to begin investing in nanotechnology if they want to reap their share of the $1 trillion that the field is expected to be producing on an annual basis within the decade.

Jack Uldrich is the president of The NanoVeritas Group, the leading voice in America on nanotechnology today. His articles on nanotechnology have appeared in publications including The Futurist, the Minneapolis Star Tribune, CityBusiness, and the Futures Research Quarterly.
