Venture Literary Sells Fertility Memoir by Internet Idol Cindy Margolis to Perigee/Penguin

On July 24, 2006, Greg Dinkin of Venture Literary sold the North American rights to an untitled fertility book by supermodel, Internet phenomenon, and RESOLVE spokeswoman Cindy Margolis, to Marian Lizzi at Perigee/Penguin.

Cindy Margolis, touted by Guinness World Records as the most popular person in cyberspace, has enjoyed a career marked by impressive public successes. She’s been labeled by Forbes as the most downloaded woman of the past three years, been the subject of E! Entertainment and VH-1 specials and can boast of more than forty-three million fans in her personal database. Yet for a long, very painful period, the more private fulfillment of childbirth eluded her.

Margolis’ book presents her struggles with pregnancy in engrossing, human terms. Margolis describes the aching depression that plagued her and the trying times that she and her husband endured as their struggles with pregnancy played out over months and months, as well as the long-fought-for joy of the birth of their first child (thanks to IVF) and, later, their twins (through surrogacy). With Margolis as their guide, readers will experience both the bitter difficulties of infertility and the sweet satisfaction of her eventual successes.

Cindy Margolis is an internet icon, supermodel, actress, producer, RESOLVE spokeswoman, and television show host who has been labeled a phenomenon by everyone from Yahoo!, AOL’s Woman of the Year, and Guinness World Records to Forbes, Time, and People magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People.”
