Venture Literary Sells Poker Miscellany Book to Broadway

On October 22, 2004, Greg Dinkin of Venture Literary sold the World rights to Peter Fornatale’s untitled book on poker miscellany to Charles Conrad at Broadway Books.

The book (Broadway, 2005) is a one-of-a-kind collection of poker facts and trivia, along with wisdom and tips presented in a fun, hip package. Topics include: Amarillo Slim’s most colorful expressions, the top five celebrity poker players of all time, poker’s toughest beats, the most common tells, and the greatest bluffs, all delivered by poker experts exclusively interviewed for this book. The book will also include items on the best poker movies of all time, a list of all the World Series of Poker champions, food and drink recipes to spice up your home poker games, and other lifestyle tidbits that are geared to the poker enthusiast. An impressive potpourri of poker knowledge, the book fills a void in the poker marketplace and makes a great book for fans of poker both old and, especially, new.

Peter Fornatale is a freelance writer and editor whose work has appeared in Maxim, Cosmopolitan, the Washington Post, Playboy.com, and espn.com. He has co-authored two books about ’80s pop culture, Who Can It Be Now? and Say Anything. He is an avid horse racing and poker enthusiast who spends his summers in Saratoga Springs, New York.
