Venture Literary Sells Celebrity “Sex Degrees” Pop Culture Book to Chronicle

On September 24, 2008, Jennifer de la Fuente of Venture Literary sold World rights to Sex Degrees of Separation by Irad Eyal to Christina Amini at Chronicle Books.

Sex Degrees of Separation takes the reader on a celebrity relationship road trip, stopping at all the biggest relationships along the way and comically reminding us of the obscure ones too. Much like the infamous Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon book (and party game), Eyal will show readers how to get from Michael Jackson to Michael Bolton—and in only six steps! The content is cleverly formatted like a road atlas. Each page is filled with Celebrity Profiles, Relationship Reports, Link Teases, and Sin-dexes that will attract and captivate its readers and have them flipping through Sex Degrees of Separation over and over again.

Author Irad Eyal is a reality television producer, having created and sold reality shows to some of the biggest networks, such as MTV, TLC, Discovery, and NBC. He has directed the primetime reality series Wife Swap and he wrote and directed minute-long comedy webisodes based on Nerve.com’s best-selling book, Position of the Day.
